I just read this and it got me thinking. He was 77 when he passed today, which doesn't seem really old, slightly above average. This guy had alot of chapters in his life. He started coaching Michigan in 1969 when he was 40 years old, an age where most people feel old and did that for 20 years until 1989. At that time he became the Athletic Director for Michigan, then the president for the Detroit Tigers, after that he still held an office at Michigan, had a tv show and did charity work. Before 40 he went to college, got his masters degree, served in the army, and was an assistant for many years. I mean I don't know the guy but from reading it seems he took full advantage of the life he was give and it amazes me how some people are given this chance and some aren't.
Sorry to get all philosophical, RIP Bo.
Heck, the man had a heart attack 36 years ago, before the rose bowl, after beating Ohio state in his first year as head coach.
Just last month he had a defribulator put in his heart that would shock his heart if it began to fail.
