We went to see this tonight. All in all, its a pretty good movie! A really accurate portrayal of the battle of the 300 Spartans against the Persian army. With cameos by Gollum, Sloth, Lobster Boy & Goat Man (blink and you'll miss them) and Rupaul as Xerxes, I rate this movie a 10 out of 10! Xerxes, bedecked in gold peircings reminicent of this lady:

and makeup that looked like it could've been done by Boy George,

heads up an army composed of Ringling Brothers rejects and extras from Todd Browning's Freaks, along with orcs taken straight from Lord of the Rings and exaggerated CGI animals. There's a very memorable scene where Gollum goes to Xerxes' lair which is actually the creature canteena from Star Wars
The Spartan army, on the other hand is composed of men who, despite the technological disadvantage of the age, seemed to have spent their entire lives in the gym developing abs and pecs harder than the metal their sheilds are made of.
Another observation: Sparta is very cold-- see the movie and you'll see what I mean.
All kidding aside, It was a pretty good movie, I recommend it and will probably see it again.
