It will be interesting to see how he does.  He is an immediate upgrade for them, but you wonder how much he has got left.

I just heard his interview on ESPN.  It made me want to puke: 'anything less than a world series championship is a failure' 'love playing with the best hitter in baseball Derek Jeter' 'will love playing with the best reliever in baseball Mariano Rivera'  bla bla bla bla, go back to your fantasy world Roger.

I see they're holding him back from starting against the Red Sox.  I watched some of his last minor league start, and wasn't too impressed.  Fastball at 90 mph, erratic control, and his breaking stuff wasn't very sharp.  I hope he gets lit up in Chicago.

I doubt that Roger in the mix will be able to help them make up what is already a 14-15 game deficit, but who knows.  I sure won't miss the Yankee's in the playoffs.  LOL

Clemens will not start Monday due to a pulled groin, will be out at least 2 weeks. LOL!  Dougie Ballgame got hurt today and the Yankees were killed by Boston.  I love it!

did anyone else hear the Roger Clemens press conference today, and the phone call between him and McNamee?  WOW, McNamee got owned hard.  I believe Clemens, at least on the McNamee stuff now.

Roger will be testifying in front of Congress next week voluntarily.

Well, my thoughts are....congress has other things to do...but MLB gets big time tax breaks and shit from the govt.

As for clemens and the phone call.  It was interesting....but...

Clemens called mcnamee knowing he was going to record the conversation himself...even had his lawyers sitting there with him.  So, he knew what he was going to say, and how to say it so he didnt get into any trouble or incriminate himself.  When mcnamee kept saying, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, ILL DO ANYTHING" why didnt clemens say, "GET YOUR ASS TO MY PRESS CONFERENCE ON MONDAY AND TELL THEM YOU LIED".

The other interesting thing was that mcnamee said, "i thought i had to tell them something or id be put in jail".  That is interesting, id definitely be scared of the federal govt as well.  So, i can see where its possible he just gave them clemens name to add some validity and give the mitchell report a big fish to fry.  Its also interesting how mcnamee didnt straight up say, "YOU KNOW YOU DID IT WHY LIE".

Its also interesting  that mcnamee turned down a 7 figure deal to appear on TV.

So, for now, im seeing clemens as innocent.  Until someone can show me definitive proof that HGH was injected into him hes innocent, and should be treated as such.

Clemens is guilty.  McNamee called Clemens to talk about Radomski years ago.  Why was that?  I think we know why.......  Radomski was the Mets guy who supplying the stuff to half the league... and also to Clemens.  If Clemens was innocent, why didn't he ever say to McNamee, "why did you lie?" -- if McNamee would have said "because such and such..." then Clemens would have been cleared but he didn't.

Two men in RECENT baseball history have had tremendous success into their 40's.  The two baseball players are both future hall of famers and of all the many years they had in the league, their greatest years were in their twilight.  That's not logical.... and it doesn't happen.  Those two guys -- Bonds and Clemens.  I just don't think that's a coincidence.  We're not talking good years.... or productive years.... we're talking dominant years... against bigger, faster, strong competition.  I just don't think that all happens, and certainly not in today's age.

Regardless, it's a great situation.  Two things are going to happen:

1.  Clemens is found not-guilty and the Mitchell report becomes a farce... a laughing stock

or

2.  Clemens is found guilty and baseball will be crucified even more.

Interesting side note.... Canseco says that A-Rod has used performance enhancers.  Everybody else Canseco has named has pretty much right on.  So............ wow, would it be interesting or what if A-Rod got slammed?!?!?!?   Pretty much would signal some very very dark days ahead for baseball.

Those damn steroids.... look at all the people dying in the streets!  Yep... sure glad it's a schedule drug like cocaine/heroine, etc.  What a joke.  This country is a farce.

I think that both Barry and Roger had very solid careers before they started taking anything they might have taken.  Roger's best season was probably back in 86 or whatever year it was when he won 24 games.  Barry had 2 phenomenal seasons in 2001 and 2002 or whenever it was.  I don't know who is guilty of what and I don't care.  The media blows all of this stuff way out of proportion and it is really getting old.  Just frigging legalize the stuff and be done with it.  Then you won't have to put an asterisk next to every stat in the record books.  Michael Jordan must have been on some kind of performance enhancers, too.  We bettter check out anybody that excels in their sport.  Mia Hamm, MJ, Joe Montana, etc.  Just let the athletes play the games they get paid to play and leave them alone.

Sorry.  End Rant.

Canseco's new book is supposed to talk about A rod and his juice.
