figured this thread is probably long overdue. I was finally doing the routine maintenance on the YFZ today after letting it sit 3+ weeks after Idaho. I drained the oil, realized I didn't have anymore, so I'll have to finish that up tomorrow. I cleaned and lubed the chain and sprockets, and I noticed my sprocket hub on the axle is loose. I've never seen this happen to a stock axle before, guess that just shows how stout my YFZ is I'm probably going to order an axle soon for it. Dusty, want to widen yours out? I won't have any use for my rear spacers, I'll give you a good deal on them if you want.

What axle you going with? I needed a new sprocket hub too so that made buying a new axle a real easy decision. My old one was pretty beat anyways. Supposedly they bend after one jump but mine survived close to 3 years or so with me so I'd give it a good rating.

I'm guessing I need a new sprocket hub too since its loose on the stock axle. The chances of just the axle being worn, and not the hub, are about 0, so that rules out the GForce because I don't think it comes with a hub.
I might hit up my sources and see what I can get a LSR or RPM for.

My Durablue has held up well and I don't think Ben has had any problems with his. I'd much rather spend the extra $100 then risk running a g-force. With those it seems like its just a matter of time before they're bent. Even if they warrantied, so what, what if it happens on day 2 of Idaho?

well I just looked at Lonestar's site, and the only axle of theirs that comes with the hub is the Honda axle, and its not covered by warranty, so it will wear out like CBerg's did on his 400ex.
RPM's axles do come with a hub. Hmm, what to do, what to do

I guess I can try loosening the lock nut and cinching it back up. For what I do, I doubt I'd bend a G Force, I'm already at that width with the stock axle (spacers) and I haven't bent it.

well, in checking on RPM's site, their axles do NOT come with a hub, only for Honda's at no charge. WTF?
I guess with knowing this, I may as well get a G Force axle, and try my stock hub. If it's not tight, I'll have to get a new one.

$149 for the RPM hub for their axle. Fuck you, included on the Honda axles for free? Again, fuck you. $142 for Lonestar's. Fuck you too.

That blows, especially when it is free with other models. I definitely lucked out on mine.
How much would a stock one cost?
