I need to find a durable semi affordable GPS unit that I cn mount an my handle bars or that will fit in my pocket. Also it needs to be easy to use. I have no idea where to evan start looking or what I am looking for.

etrex legend, I see them all the time for less than 100 bux. They are pretty small, and will mount on bars or go in a pocket easily.

most likely, you can get them just about anywhere, Cabelas, Target, Walmart, Gander Mountain, or any camping store. I think I even saw them at Best Buy but I don't recall for sure. Saw an open box one for $79

The target by me has a bunch of camping and outdoor stuff on clearance. Maybe I will get lucky and it will be on clearance, yeah right.

ya, the 3 hours is horrid. I mainly keep it in the vehicle though. For hillshooting and drags 3 hours is good enough. You just have to remember to turn it off when not hillshooting.
