Sports = business these days. It's not the Yankees fault at all but people keep pissed and irritated about it. If the league would change the rules, they wouldn't be able to use the tactics they do. Why hate a franchise that plays within the rules, is extremely profitable, and still wins (mostly)?
I'd be mad at the people that run the sport quite frankly. I know, dead horse...

I guess the entire country of baseball fans that hates the Yankees are just idiots.

I guess the entire country of baseball fans that hates the Yankees are just idiots. I'm not playing bad guy on this one. I used to hate them too, but I can tell you this, if I was running the Yankees and was making the money they were with their system, I'd do it too. They bring in players that peopel want to watch year-after-year. They're successful, and highly profitable. What's not to like? The fact that they BUY their players? So what, they have the payroll to do it and it's within league rules. Again, IT IS A BUSINESS. I used to hate them as much as anyone, but I started to like some of their players and realized that they're running an intelligent, profitable organization. That's something I respect. Oh, AND they bring in great players that people want to see and pack the stadium. THAT is what people want to see. They want to see A-Rod, Sheffield, Clemens, Giambi.. on and on... I love it now! Give the fans a show, bring in a fun team to watch, and make lots of money doing it.

I understand that its a business and they make lots of money, but It has been a long belief of mine that there should be a salary cap, after all they are getting payed to play a game. What ever happened to the guys who just loved to play ball and that getting payed was just a bonus.
Is Clemens really worth 28 mil, Verlander recieved 1,030,000 for the 07 season. Granted he doesnt have the experience, the kid has a hell of a record going. 24 years old, second season in the majors and already thrown some unbelievable games including a no hitter! I would rather take Verlander over Clemens- I just don't see Clemens being that valuable.

Who's fault is that? The players I guess... not the team. You'll probably soon see Morneau in pinstripes!

I'd like to see a salary cap as well. The playing field should at least be structured fair but I won't hold it against any team that plays within the rules set forth by the league.

Who can afford to go see a game in a nice seat with ticket prices as high as they are? Why do tickets have to cost $100 at a decent stadium to see a game? It's because they PAY THE PLAYERS WAY TOO MUCH FUCKING MONEY! It is the players fault as well (I more so point to homo agents like Scott Boras) because they are greedy. Baseball is the last sport I really care about because of this bullshit, but the more this keeps up, the less I care. Football and basketball are lost causes, talk about a bunch of wannabe thug gangsters. The NHL at least took a stand against the players and some good came of it. Baseball needs to do the same.

If the seats are selling, then the price is set correctly.

Tigers=Out We did our best last night and even came from behind to win, but alas the Yank's pulled out one more victory to put us out. Next year i guess. Only thing I'm worried about is how theyre gonna play theyre next few games against the white sox, hopefull theyll keep it up and finish strong, rather than just give up and let theyre stats go to crap in just a few games. What a season though
