Went to see this at the drive-in tonight. It's okay... Rob Zombie kinda took his own take on it. Kinda delves into Michael Myers' past and sorta what made him develop into the psychopath he is. The rest kinda goes along with the first Halloween with some slight tweaks to the storyline. Not a bad movie but not really  rave-worthy. Has his usual cast of buddies and his wife in it. Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees makes a cameo as the gun shop clerk.

On a side note, the double feature included I Know Who Killed Me, the mystery-thriller with Lindsay Lohan in it. Not really that good. Pretty predictable, and kinda sucky. Just FYI. But it was $7.00 to see both movies so we stayed for it.

Id like to think that a movie called Halloween would do much better at the box office a little closer to halloween?

Actually the drive-in was packed on both screens. I know they didn't come to see the shitty Lindsay Lohan movie. Anyway, you're probably right, its like having a Christmas movie in July.

I really haven't cared much for anything Rob Zombie has done the last 3-4 years.  The White Zombie Super Sexy Swingin Sounds remix CD is still one of my favorites though.
