That sucks to hear... wonder when they are going to close the park...
Hopefully the other guy will pull through. 

It would be nice if they (the DNR) could look at this and say to themselves...  "too many people in such a small area, we should open up the rest of the dunes to OHV traffic".  Hah, Yea right.

that sucks. just a horrible accident.

guys i hate to be all weird like this...but thank God we werent there, either in the accident or witnessing it either. I guess our Labor Day weekend wasnt so bad after all

   No heather.....YOU wouldn't have been driving CRAZY like a LOT of the quads and cycles out there this weekend...  ASK Gary.....  we all had close calls with quads or cycles NOT watchiing where they were going...   I USED to worry about getting run over in the buggy by a truck or jeep.... BUT after our last 2 trips there, it's the quads that ZOOM by NOT watching if anyone else is around!
     I agree it's WAS a bad accident, BUT a little bit of "careful" riding by BOTH drivers would have avoided this accident.  It happened in a completly WIDE open part of the dunes.

yeah people are geting way to careless up there now almost going ot have ot make people take like a course and have a lisence just to go into the dunes

I saw that the quad guy was from ravenna ohio.  thats not too far from me.  I wonder how the dirtbike guy is doing.  That is a terrible thing to have happen to a family, especially when your on a vacation.

I saw that too.  My father-in-law sent me an email with that clip from the paper.  I read somewhere on the web that the dirtbike guy was going to lose his arm and possibly his leg too.  That would suck,
