The idea has been tossed around a few times lately so lets see who is serious about it.

So what time should we go?  What time of year is best to go there, weather wise?  I think late October is a good time to go.

The drive looks similar to Idaho, in terms of time.  Unless if Pete meets us somewhere along the way, looks like it'd be best to drive seperately.  It would probably require everyone to take 5 days off of work, which is possible if we don't go to OKL at all. I'd say its worth it and I'm definitely up for it.

Maybe someone can get Hightower in here to offer us some advice.

I'd be ok with doing OK in the spring, St A in the summer, and LS Utah in the late fall (depending on weather there?)

i was thinking of a place to go in the winter, like when the snow is flying at home. Southwest US, Little Sahara UT may be too far north. If we could go in like january-february, space it out away from X-mas and other trips to spread the money load.

that basically leaves Glamis then, and we've already talked about the camping situation there, which is bleak.

Where are you thinking of going then?  Not too many options.  According to Jaydogg, October is the one of the best months to go to LS.

I don't think OKL is happening in the spring next year...at least I assumed it wasn't.

Yeah, screw glamis.  Although I'd like to go in Jan/Feb too, I don't think its going to happen.  October sounds like the month to go.

Someone mentioned companies that will drop a camper at your campsite for a week, that would work.  I dunno, Glamis is something I would like to do and I agree with Ben, a trip in June, one in Jan would be ideal.

guess that would depend on how big they are.  I'm guessing for that price we'd need 2, especially when you consider water and all of that.

I looked up LS,UT on weather.com.  They have lower highs for today than we do, although our weather is a little warmer than usual.
