Killpecker, aka Rock Springs Sand Dunes in Wyoming looks nice. Says its the second largest sand dune formation in the country. Looks like there is some good sized hills. Its right off of 80. Mapquest says 22 hours for us OH people, sand looks awesome there. We should add this to a maybe list. St.Anthony, LS UT, and this Killpecker dunes arent that far from each other

dunereview says 11,500 acres to ride on!

just have to take 80 the whole way and then its not far off the interstate. Seems like a hidden jewel

ride in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, were hitting all the best states

and if you ever want to feel better about Silver Lake or LS OK, look at Cinders in AZ or Hotwells in AZ Vomit Vomit

we have stellar dunes compared to those

Pismo looks awesome, but raped by closures. Camping on the beach of the Pacific Ocean sounds like a life goal to me though

I was also thinking looking at pics of Pismo and coastal dunes of Oregon, were lucky to have Silver Lake where its so scenic with the water and everything. Thats pretty rare for a dune area

You only like those pictures because of the two banshees in them.

That last hill does look pretty nice.

Maybe

it looks like there is the one big hill in the picture there, and then lots of like the little dunes at ID and some good sized SL size ones

That place does look nice.  22 hours is doable.  Nice 1985 pics of the banshees.

looking at the BLM of WY site, looks like the ORV area is about 18-20 square miles. Thats huge. By the topographic map is does not look flat at all. It even says that the dunes get a lot peaks and sharp drop offs, just like St.Anthony. PERFECT!!

it is DRY there too. Looks like temp wise that the time to be there is may-oct. kind of narrow. not sure when we could work this in. It doesnt get as hot there as it does in ID and UT. gets pretty cold in the winter though
