I've been reading some rumor articles that the Twins are interested in Bonds.  That would be quite interesting, I bet Clint would have a coronary.

Giants will be nothing without him, his enormous ammount of tainted homers has gave them many o'wins that will not be there anymore if hes traded. Twins will fork out some serious $$ or several of theyre good players inorder to get him if they do finalize something.

Twins wont have to trade any players for Bonds.....hes a free agent.

The giants on the other hand, will be able to get 2-4 QUALITY players for the 16 million bonds earns.

No I wouldn't.  That's what the fuggin idiots need to do.. SIGN PLAYERS PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH.  Jesus, it aint that hard..... sign guys that are ballpark draws.... PLEASE!  They have some good players but nobody cares.  Santana... ooh, great pitcher but so what?  Tori is good... sure, but a spectacular catch every 5 games aint gonna bring people in.  Morneau sucked schlong-bait this year.... so did Mauer... and it's not like either are big draws.  Good players, not big draws.

It'd be a great move to sign Barry.  He was a favorite of mine way back but his being an asshat derailed my love for him.  Still, it's a reason to go into the hooded toilet bowl and watch an echoey game in an atmosphere-less tunnel of crap.

compared to what?  Last year?

2006

.321, 34 HR, 130 RBI.

not exactly what I would call a huge fall off.

If anyone has been a disappointment, it's Mauer with his injuries, and Punto with his Mendoza line batting average.
