Say all you want about the PSP's UDM, but it why not just download and convert movies and put them on memory stick? The PSPs only limitation is space, other than that it's a great device PLUS it game play games. It's nice playing basically every Nintendo and genesis game on the PSP, not to mention having an mp3 player and being able to watch movies with great sound as well.
If games are not your thing and you want something very portable, than it's no contest and the ipod classic is the choice I think.

there are so many to choose from out there. Here is the one my G/F has. Its 160 gig and a nice big screen. But, its still going for over 400 bucks. The Ipod is prolly the best bang for the buck - but not the best by any means.

last time I played a game was in 2003(Medal of Honor on a PC for about 30 minutes)....but the PSP does present an interesting option!!!!
I appreciate the offer to go look at that CL deal...but I think I want to buy it from a store so I can return it if something goes wrong!

PSP is an awesome device. I'd love to get one. I'm just not sure how well it'd work as a fulltime mp3 player due to size, media, etc.

My son has a PSP and he loves it for mp3 capability. I've messed with it for a few minutes but the menu system was confusing and I had a headache.

I had a PSP for a bit, bought some movies, a couple of 2 gig cards and loaded up some mp3's. It was a huge pain in the ass and I sold it.

I got the new 80gb ipod classic for $249 and like it. It is the right price and I am haven't even put a dent in the 80 gig with a bunch of music, 4K photos and some tv shows. I still use torrents for all my music, but I downloaded Heroes from itunes when I wanted to watch it. Its very easy to watch shows on.. clear, bright and you soon forget it is on a small screen. The only thing I am not sure about is if you can download a show or move or rip a dvd then convert it to be played on the ipod? I am sure there is a program to do it?
I would get a Sony PSP! They are only 169 dollars, you can buy tons of movies for them (460 movies to be exact, TV shows available too), its an MP3 player, you can convert videos and put them on it(convert to MPG4), it has wireless internet, and you can play games. No ipod can touch that. http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP/AboutActually, Jer makes a VERY good point. I many times forget about my PSP. It can do everything but it doesn't have a ton of space on it, that's the downfall. You can obviously buy cards, but they're not super cheap. Still, a very good option! The PSP uses Sonys version of an SD card, the PRO DUO and its available in 4gb chips. PSP would be the best bet.

Dont forget the PSP now has wifi! Surfing the web on the PSP isnt too bad either.
