Wow, what a deal...

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=181403&WT.mc_n=27686&WT.mc_t=U&cm_ven=PORTAL&cm_cat=AJC&cm_pla=DATAFEED-%3EPRODUCTS&cm_ite=1%20PRODUCT&cm_keycode=27686

Only catch is you better hope there is a store nearby that has it in stock or you're SOL.  I paid $800 for my 30" crt 2-3 years ago!

Its only 720p but who gives a crap, especially at 46".

Looks like my Mom is getting a new TV.  They'll most likely be buying this today.  Newegg has great prices on TVs even, they rule.

Set that 50" up yesterday.  Looks great, awesome TV at a very reasonable price.  Still like my 61" a lot.

I was trying to think how much bigger I'd have to get to consider buying another TV.  Not something I would do for yyyyears.  Samsung has a 72" and I think Mitsubishi has a 73".  Thats about 40% bigger screen.  Not sure thats enough, but I doubt DLPs are going to get much bigger with flat panels coming down in price every year.

I wouldn't want much bigger than a 65' for my living room, any larger and you're having to move your eyes back and forth to see the screen.

I think if anything, that I'd wait until I was in my own house and had a separate room just for movies.  I'd probably set up a projector in there.

thats big dog style...I like where your heads at..
I'm going to start researching TVs HEAVILY after New Years...this crap of not taking advantage of HD is OVER!!!
I think I want the Onkyo HRT-800 setup, some sort of upconvert DVD and a logitech harmony... my big dog "mod" is some home automation.. You can get wireless switches in a dimmer and control them via the harmony.. It would be pretty pimp in my basement since I have all can lighting

Nice, the only gay thing about HD is paying companies like comcast and charter the rediculous prices they charge.
