They got Cabrera and Willis from FLA.  They had to give up maybin and miller, and back up catcher rabelo, plus 3 other prospects.

This is a great deal for the tigers.  Cabrera is a future hall of famer unless something bizarre happens, and willis is more proven then miller.  Maybin is a great prospect, but he was just that, a prospect.

It sure is nice to see that the Tigers want to win.  Making it to the World series wasnt enough, and last year was an obvious disappointment after having the best record in baseball after the all star break to not even making the playoffs.

This will be a badass line up.

Granderson
Polanco
Ordonez
Guillen
Sheffield
Renteria
Pudge
Cabrera

That is definitely one hell of a move for the Tigers.  They added one of the best hitters in baseball and a front of the rotation starter.  The rest of the Central is already fighting for second place in the division now.

The central will be awesome, again.  Its pretty bad when Pudge will more then likely be the worst bat in your lineup at .280 or so. 070

I think I am missing something.......what happened to INGE? he plays a better 3rd than Cabrera, but with a lot less bat.

Inge is a good 3rd baseman, but to say hes better then cabrera isnt fair.  Even if he was, ill take a future hall of famer over the poor bat of inge anyday.  Cabrera is only 24 and he has 523RBIs!  Lifetime .313 batter.  He will also give you 100+RBIs a year and score 100 runs himself.

With a bigger and overall better bat, the tigers offense will be good past the top 6, unlike last year where 6-9 stank.

I'm excited for them.  Hopefully they go far.

They also added renteria.  Im thinking the worst bat in the line up will be jacque jones or pudge.  And its not like those bats are terrbile.

523 HR's in 3 seasons?  Wow they should give him 100 million.  LOL

I thought I read that the Tigers would use him as their left fielder.  Who knows what they will do as far as positions go, but I already don't want to see that lineup.

I can see it now............   Captain Hat Grabber (Betancourt from the Indians)  Might as well just figure out how to keep 1 hand on his stupid hat while trying to pitch to this lineup upcoming.

Man I dislike that guy's ticks.  I was happy to see them ousted.

Im guessing he will be a great sub. to have...and since they only got pudge for next year inge could always go back to being a catcher like he was before pudge came.
