this trade won't matter... Kobe and the Lakers will be holding the trophy at the end of the year unless the Celtics stop them.  no one in the west scares me if the lakers are healthy.  before the gasol trade the spurs maybe, but bynum is a man and has come a long ways.  the guy is a stud.  if he's healthy come playoff time and they get a few weeks to play together... hello championship.

teh suns... i've hated them for so long... it's great they got shaq.  he's so bad right now.  all his quickness is gone and it continues to show more day in and day out.  what a horrible move....  i couldn't be happier for the fag suns, fat ass shaq, and the child molester nash.  a perfect combo

While gasol helps the lakers...none of those guys are proven in the playoffs except kobe.  Hows their bench?

The Lakers could be very tough is they are healthy.  Historically, that is a big if with them.  I am not as convinced as Clint is that they could come out of the West, but I also wouldn't say that they couldn't.  If they are healthy, their bench is damn good.

Back on topic, time will tell as to what this trade does for the Suns.  Shaq, like him or not, has had a hall of fame career and is a very good basketball player.  If he is healthy and in shape come playoff time, he will help the suns in a halfcourt game, both on Offense and Defense.  The Suns have the best record in West right now and while Marion is a good player, I don't know that they will really lose that much because Boris Diaw can step right in for him.  This trade could realistically help both teams.

the bench is really deep jer.  before bynum went down they were killing teams... beating everyone by 20 and playing like a championship team.  they manhandled the suns twice and except for an blip in the beginning, were well on their way.  in fact, they had the best record in the west playing one of the hardest schedules.

no doubt if healthy they roll through the playoffs.
