Josh, how large are the various items? I'm guessing the whole fence panels are rather large, but what about the rest? The smaller items could be shot in a medium sized soft box relatively easy.
The installation shots aren't that hard, but you won't want to do them on a cloudy day (the pics look real flat). You would also want a real wide angle lens, something point and shoot's do not have. If I were going to do a shoot like that, I would probably rent a 10-16mm zoom or maybe a 12-24.

The fence panels are large; 3'x8' up to 6'x8' and the gates would be very large; 7'H x 20'W is the largest. And it would be too much to transport so they would need to come to my warehouse in Memphis and set up something there for the photos.

to take real professional looking shots (with just the product in a whited out background) that would take a lot of shipping of lights and background material. Here is an example of a much smaller setup. http://www.studiolighting.net/homemade-light-box-for-product-photography/A similar affect can be achieved using roll paper as well.

since buying my D90, I've been able to use my 50mm f1.8 lens a lot more since the D90 has the built in focus motor. I was able to get a good example of narrow depth of field using my usual test subject.

I made a quickie soft box tonight with a white sheet and some printer paper, and shot my 18-200 VR lens. Total setup time was about 2 minutes. Just an example of what you could do for small to medium sized stuff.

No love for Abby? she rarely sits still long enough. when I'm in my office, Sasha always wants to sit by me so ends up laying next to me on the desk.

Wish you were closer Pete; I would have you take my product photos and such. I have to hire someone and I am not really sure how to go about that? Either a pro photographer or a photography student at KSU? Or me with a good P&S?
I know a guy that it is close that takes amazing photos. If you would like I can forward your contact info to him. Here are some of his pics. http://www.zerohourphoto.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=8815276&AlbumKey=b3DLw

I spent the weekend up on the north shore with my girlfriend for my birthday present from her. Stayed in a bed and breakfast, and visited 3 very scenic state parks, 1 nature center, and 1 bird observatory. Photographer and outdoor enthusiast heaven.
I have a LOT of great shots to share and I will start a thread for those in the pictures section, but I wanted to share this picture here. It's kind of cliche, but it's my cliche picture none the less.
