what do you guys think? 

At the very least, I was thinking of asking our resident photoshop dude to make a new forum banner since my photoshop skills are amature at best

yes.  I was thinking a Sasha picture with mspaint fangs and red blood and guts.

you need the software that the other SL site has where the banner changes to a different picture everytime the page is loaded. Very cool

that wouldn't be very hard to implement at all, I just need some nice banners now ;)

what about colors in the forum?  I know some people thought the main site colors sucked too.  I'm not the worlds best web developer, thats for sure.

i like the colors myself, and on the other site its just regular pics that come up, not special banners or anything. It scrolls through a photo album

they're actually banners, they just didn't put any graphics on them.  They also have a mod installed called ad manager that displays their ads, it will rotate the banners as well.
