i believe Pulver BEAT BJ Penn too...... the thing is... I don't think Faber can go any higher than 145... he was struggling to get and stay there.  Penn could probably get down to 145 as he's got some weight to lose.  it'd be an interesting fight for sure.  i certainly give faber more of a chance than you do, but Penn is crazy good.  could pound for pound the best....

No way penn could fight at 145, his body couldnt handle it.  He wants to go back to 170 and fight GSP.

Yea, pulver beat penn 6 years ago.  Penn took his ability for granted until hughes beat him at 170.  Not until then did he actually dedicate himself to training properly.  Thats why he gassed against GSP.  And we seen how pulver faired in the rematch.  We seen what happened to joe stephenson, and we seen what happened to sherk.  The UFC bringing the 155lbs class was the best thing for Penn.  He has to actually train hard to get to 155.  At 170, he was walking in with a beer belly and horrible cardio.

Faber doesnt have to do anything to get to 155.  He hardly cuts weight to get to 145.  The fact is, if faber wants to become a superstar, hes gonna have to step up to 155.  The WEC isnt where the elite fighters are.
