I need to relocate asap.   Not only to justify having a Rev800 built to the gills with  a 2 1/2" 162 under it, but to have a 12-20 hour drive to nearly all dune areas:)

even I would get a badass sled if I lived out there....

so, for when we look back at the beginning of this thread when we are about to leave next year, what is everyones predictions for what they will be riding and what will be done to it? same as last year?

as far as mine, the YFZ will all depend on how my connecting rod looks this winter, if its fine, i will most likely leave it. Maybe clean up the head castings and new valve springs-retainers

Banshee- i want changes, im really shooting for same setup +cubs. I need to do something major cosmetically as well. Im a little bored with the look. Its really lacking something

i would imagine that i will be driving the SS as well.

my YFZ:  piston and head porting probably.  Maybe a few other small things, nothing major.  I just want a little more power to get it on par with how my '04 was.

my Banshee:  trued and welded crank.  +2 swingarm is on order for it already.  I will have the frame and other stuff powdercoated this winter.  I'll probably reuse the same plastic, I like it even though it's not perfect.  I'll probably get a nice seat cover for it too.  I'll have the front and rear shocks reworked as well.

YFZ- 14 tooth countersprocket.

Banshee- Cosmetically I should have the frame painted, new plastic, all the stuff I want chromed up.  Engine wise- still the same engine, but with about 7-10 more HP out of it.

i think the 14 tooth sprocket will be your best mod ever
ever find anything for why it was running so hot? ours always seem to run pretty consistently temp wise out there. Did you have the fan removed?

Jetting- I think lean, because the end cap on the pipe wasnt black like the '04 was- the heat, the fact I could bang the rev limiter easily.....  I also need to get a bigger radiator for that motor- it does build more heat.  I'll probably run those LT80 paddles again- I kind of liked them.  With a 14T it should pull Choke and Devils a gear higher.

But now that Im in the cool kid club like you and Ass Pete, I'll roll the YFZ for a ride, then let the big dog eat for a ride.  Im running 140 mains right now and I was slightly rich in Oregon, so I think 135 or 132 mains will work for St. A's.  Id really like to work on my powervalves and get those functioning correctly- because it will help at altitude and will also help with fuel economy more.  I just dont want them sticking like they did before and drop HP big time.  I found that graph- its ugly.  So with a small main- Im hoping that the big motor will be able to make it to Devils and back.  I dont mind a 6 pack rack to haul fuel either.

what size carbs does it have? those are some tiny mains

what actuates the powervalves on those?

If you take it easy on the way out to devils you should be fine, especially starting from Desert Oasis. With the 6 pack rack thats another 2.25 gallons that you can take, so your over 5 gallons of gas. Whats the largest oversized tank they make? 5.5 gallons? i know that with how ugly those tanks were and the fact i could get just as much gas for half the cost or less, the 6 pack rack was an easy choice

Mine is going to need a new chain and sprockets.  If I have the extra money, hopefully a brand new full HMF exhaust compliments of Heather.
