they played this tonight on VH1 classic, pretty damn good concert.  Gilmour can still play the hell out of his guitars.  I didn't know it, but PF's keyboard player Rick Wright died last month on the 15th.  I will have to see if I can find this one on DVD, I enjoyed it a lot.  I guess it's out on about 5 different packages, one of them includes some behind the scenes 'barn jams', they are out on youtube, check them out.  Just search for 'David Gilmour barn' and they will come up.

i caught a little of this, was pretty good, although i am much more a Roger Waters person then David Gilmour. He is definitely unbelievably talented, but the one thing that bugs me is that on stage, he's kind of dead and never really seems to get into it, where Waters is completely the opposite and you can tell he really loves being up there. If you watch them when they all reunited for Live 8 briefly, you can really see this.

I saw Shine On You Crazy Diamond on this last night, was really good. I'd like to see the rest of the concert

If you liked this, i would highly recommend either watching the Pulse DVD for more Gilmour with PF minus Waters, or if you want to see what Roger Waters is like, he has a DVD from 2001 called One Night With Roger Waters i think, it is fantastic. All PF stuff he wrote from when he was still in the band

I thought watching him play the guitar was really cool.  He definitely has a very unique sound.   Comfortably Numb has a totally badass bass track in this concert, I wish I could hear it with a 15 or 18 inch sub (or 2 12's), its very, very low  slayer  It kind of reminded me of the MOLZ concert because he had the entire Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra there playing with the song.  Pretty sweet.

It's funny you bring up how un-animated he is on stage, because right afterwards, they were showing the top 10 AC/DC songs.  Angus Young is so wild and all over on stage it makes me laugh.

Im a David Gilmour fan for sure- that dood can play.  I managed to catch him the other night on this as well.  I also really liked the PBS one about a year ago.  Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb was amazing!!!  I didnt get into Pink Floyd stuff until I saw Learning to Fly on MTV back in the late 80s and its been a love affair since!
