the tcase took a shit yesterday on my way up to the property. It was snowing like crazy so I was running in 4wd and I felt it start to slip, so I put it back in 2wd. I slowed down and tried 4wd again, grind grind click click, sounded horrible. I got out and was hit by that 'burning clutch' smell. Blah, $850 for a local rebuild unit, they claim to fix the issue with the oil pump rubbing a hole in the case. Luckily it seemed fine in 2WD so I made it home OK.
