I would like to go.  Option 2 definitely sounds easier and its minus 12 hours of driving.  It comes down to what time of year, someone said 2nd to last weekend of february?  And how much would it cost to rent a snowmobile or do everything for the whole day, rather?

I'm not saying 100%, I just need to know a little more.  I'm also going to make sure I don't have big tests around the date either.  I definitely think it would be fun.

It's $100 per day for a Polaris RMK, and $120 a day for the super zoot Polaris 550 IQ

I'm guessing the IQ is a step up in the suspension dept over an RMK.

I might have the other sled in my stable available for someone to ride too...I don't charge rental fees but locating a trailer might be a pain

Works for me.   The welds on my front heat exchanger seem to be holding up fine so the Rev is good to go.

well we're going to do it this coming up weekend.

With how warm it's been, Houghton has lost a lot of base, but this week is shaping up to be decent snow wise.  John Dee is still showing mid 30s for base up there, so it will be ok.

Tonight
Breezy. A chance of snow in the evening...then snow after midnight. Patchy blowing snow after midnight. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Lows around 17. East winds 5 to 15 mph increasing to northeast 15 to 25 mph late. Chance of snow 100 percent.

Wednesday
Windy...colder...snow. Blowing snow with near blizzard conditions possible. Snow accumulation of 5 to 7 inches. Highs 16 to 21. North winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 100 percent.

Thursday
Breezy. Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Areas of blowing snow...especially in the morning. Highs around 15. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday Night
Patchy blowing snow in the evening. Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Lows 5 to 10 above inland to around 12 at the shore.

Friday and Friday Night
Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Highs around 19. Lows around 8 above.

Saturday
A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny. Highs around 18.
