I like the trade.

It allows stuckey to play the point which hes better suited for.

Also, AI brings star power.  He was forgotten about in denver because....well, its denver.

Also, AI is a competitor; he isnt going to take it easy in the playoffs like billups.

The nice thing is denver is supposed to buy out McDyess' contract, and Dice already said he will be returning to detroit.

Also, billups still has 3 years after this year on his deal that is guaranteed 50 million.  This is AI's last year on his deal at 20 million. So, if hes a bust we dont have to resign him and we will have cap money to persue someone else.  If we still had chauncey the cap hit would be crazy.

I think this trade could help both teams, though I am not quite sure what is up on Detroit's end.  Maybe like Jer said, it was money related.  Billups is more of a pure PG so that will allow Denver to play him, JR Smith and Melo together in the starting lineup.  It really ends up being a straight up trade, Billups for AI.

I heard that with the cap now lowered, they can try to bring on Lebron when hes a free agent next year
I guess Lebron's agent and Joe D are boys

NBA wants him out west, but they can fuck off IMO. They say whenever the D is in the finals that ratings are down

Yes, the cap will help, but i wouldnt count on lebron.  Lebron is dead set on the nets.  Hes boys with Jay Z and lebron wants the big spot light.

But, D wade will be available, plus many others.

Chauncey basically disappeared in the playoffs.  He became non existent. That wont happen with AI.  Dood wants to win more than anyone.
