Now let's see what old Daunte has left in the tank.  Certainly more than any current Vikings QB, I can damn tell you that!

if he would have rehabbed his knee correctly (the way the Vikings wanted him to) he would probably still have some mobility and be decent.  Instead, he sat down in Florida with his team of 'experts' and now he hasn't played competitively since 2005.  Yea, go Daunte

And with all that being said, he's STILL 100x better than any Vikings QB.  Shit... he's on the Lions, so we'll see how good his knee/body really is.

the fact he didn't have a job until this week doesn't back that thought up.

He wanted to start.  He declined offers from Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

Daunte has definitely brought a lot of what has happened over the last few years on himself.  Almost makes me wonder what would have happened if he had rehabbed up here with the Vikings training staff and their facilities.  Would he still be with the Vikings?  Who knows.  I am curious to see how he does with the Lions.  If he earns a start, how is he going to look and how is he going to do?  Time will tell, but if he truly is healthy, I like his chances of being a serviceable QB for the Lions for the next year and a half.  He might not be a pro-bowler anymore, but I bet he could still be a calming veteran presence for that team.

Hes starting this sunday.  And will have all of 3 practices under his belt.

He has a better chance of getting his other knee blown out playing behind this offensive line than he does to look good right now.

It seems as if they are setting him up to fail.  Too bad.  I want him to do well.

Oh yea, the game is blacked out for the 2nd straight week.  7,000 tickets short of a sell out.
