The days of free reign on the interwebs is slowly coming to close here....Just got a splash screen pop this AM when I went to yahoo.  All external email attachment downloads will be blocked...we have a moderately strict filtering proxy that blocks almost any porn site, etc- but Im concerned that its going to start looking for BBS software and blocking it.  That was the case when I worked at Panasonic- anything with forum or php - !offline!

What are some of you up against proxy wise?

I block anything naughty here at work.  File downloads are a no go as well.  Forums and BBS are still good to go though.  Man, I can't see many places taking that away... if so... shoot, I think I'd quit.

Hopefully message boards wouldnt be blocked.  You can get a lot of good info off message boards.

We are pretty much the same on my end.  We also filter content so if the forum has improper content it will also get blocked...

We run Squid as a cache proxy and Dansguardian as the filter all running on SUSE 10.1.
