Are you referring to METALLICA?  If so, not yet but I plan to.  METALLICA is one of my favorite bands.  This is a crazy school week so I might pick it up this weekend when things cool off.

Just the demo.  I am anxious to get it too as I love Metallica's music catalog.  Most of the extra music is just whatever, but I am sure I will like this version a lot more than I did the Aerosmith one.  You will all be glad to hear that I have stepped up my game now too.  I have been playing on Hard when I have been playing and my playing is coming along nicely.  Am I up there with Danny, god no.  Maybe I will put up a better fight against Erik the next time we play, though.

I've been playing world tour a lot lately.. Dusty do you have xbox or ps3?

I think its gay that they release a new game instead of just a track pack for an earlier one. The game engine hasn't changed much at all.. I avoided aerosmith and the ac/dc bullshit and I doubt I'll get the metallica one

I have both systems, but I really only game on the XBox.  The only reason I have a PS3 is because Clint got his hands on a broken one and fixed it and gave it to me on the cheap.

This could be my favorite Guitar Hero game yet.  For me, there isn't a better band for a GH game to be based on.  I played all day-long pretty much on Saturday and finished every Metallica song.  Did hard guitar / easy vocals, now playing expert guitar and singing, lots of fun.  There are a few songs by Metallica that I didn't recognize and ended up loving.  Mercyful fate...love it!  A couple of songs from the 80s that I didn't recognize either that were insanely fast and a blast to play.  I've never had more fun being a fake rockstar before than with this game!

The guest acts are...eh.  A few good ones...no doubt by alice in chains, tuesday's gone, and turn the page by bob seger.  Stone cold crazy by Queen is pretty fun too. Oh yeah, am i evil by Diamond Head as well.  Don't recognize any of the others mainly but I might like them once I play it.

I haven't played that much of drums, but what I have, they are damn good.  There are a few small differences with the engine and layout, this game just seems more refined than World Tour (a game I own and have only played a collective few hours...compared to whats probably days of Rock Band).  Guitar will always be more fun on guitar hero than Rock Band due to the more lenient timing window (hence making songs like Enter Sandman, available on both platforms, a hell of a lot more fun on GH).

The extras are cool too.  You can watch what's basically a guitar hero version of pop-up video and learn all about the different songs.  One review mentioned that you can tell Activision really loves Metallica and it definitely shows.

I just verified this online.  We should definitely try to rock out sometime.  Would be fun to do some coop or to just play along to a song together.   slayer

Played a little Guitar Hero: Metallica tonight.  Great game as expected.  Love playing the Metallica songs.  On a side note, I was in Chicago on vacation last week with the folks for my dad's 60th birthday.  We went to a White Sox/Twins game while we were there.  Before the game, they were having a guitar hero competition.  You had to play an Aerosmith song on medium and I did very well, only missing one note.  Well, I had the highest score that night and received a total of 6 tickets to 2 different Aerosmith concerts.  2 general admission and 2 assigned seating to a concert in East Troy, WI that my sister is going to use while we are out in Utah and Idaho tearing up the dunes and 2 more to either use myself or to give away to a friend or try to sell.  Anyway, thought I would share the story.  Pretty cool.
