its a new show on Animal Planet, saw the first episode on sunday, pretty damn good if you like shows like this. First episode was on pirahna, holy shit. Very well done. Host is a biologist/extreme angler. Definitely some crazy ass shit in the Amazon River, said there are more species of fish in it the Atlantic Ocean. I saw its on tonight, but its usual time is sunday night at 9 or 10pm. Ive watched other shows of the same theme and this one is MUCH better, mixes the myths with the facts very well

I saw a similar show called Monsters of the Mekong..They caught some monster ass fish

Piranha are interesting, they say in their feeding frenzy that they will actually bite each other and the others will attack and eat the wounded ones

i saw that show, this series is much better. The host of that show was just too much of a geek, but some bad ass fish

I was curious and looked at what a fishing trip to the amazon would cost, not insane, for a full week with everything paid, most expensive i saw was $5000, saw plenty others for closer to $3000 for a week. I even found one in Texas for $1200 fishing for Alligator Gar, said its common to catch them over 100lbs  shocked
