I also just remembered that you can select a MMS message and type up to 1000 characters.

I have the Samsung I760.  It is a Windows mobile phone and it isn't too bad considering what I came from (Treo).  It is a little bulky and a little clunky, but all around it is pretty good.  I really haven't had many problems with it.  But, my work bought it for me and pays the bill too.  :)  Probably not what you are looking for.  If I wasn't in this situation, phone wise, the phone you showed in the beginning of the thread looks pretty cool.  I love my full keyboard too.  Browsing on this phone isn't too bad either, though that will definitely burn through the battery rather quickly.  Another downside of phones like mine is the fact that you have to charge it every other day.  :(  Anyway, just thought I would chime in.

virtual keyboard was the main reason I went blackberry at first, but honestly, you get use to it quick and I like it a lot now.  I might even venture to say better than a qwerty!!!?

Whole new Iphone is coming out... 16 and 32gb versions and they are doubling the ram to 256k and a much better camera; it will be auto-focus now.  MMS and copy/paste are the two biggest software upgrades.

I pay $170 or something per month, but I have unlimited minutes too which is $100 right off the bat.  It's expensive, but oh so worth it.

so how did you jump around carriers so much?  you didn't have a contract, is that it?  I don't want to pay $110 to cancel my verizon contract.

Iphone OS 3.0 comes out next month.  It will allow you to send and receive MMS, itll also have copy/paste, landscape kb for sms, etc.  The new Iphone 3.0 is rumored to be released as well at the same time.  Its actually supposed to be revealed later this month.  Itll have wireless N, built in compass, and a few other things.

The worst thing about the Iphone is that it cannot run apps in the background.

The Palm Pre comes out on sprint in 3 days.  Jan. 1st itll be on verizon, then ATT.

Its hyped to be the iphone competitor and it really could be.  Full touch screen for web browsing, etc, and a full qwerty for text input.  Read up on it.

Also, the Storm 2 is coming out on verizon VERY soon.  They ditched the sure press screen for a standard capacitive touch screen.

And the G2 aka Magic is coming to T mobile this month.  Its a full touch screen, no physical qwerty kb.

Iphone OS 3.0 will be released to the public June 18th.  I installed the gold master edition beta lastnight and it works great.

The new iphone is called the 3G S.  Looks identical to the 3g, has a few nice features.  Its coming out on the 19th i believe.

The gay thing is that ATT wont be ready for MMS till the end of the summer.

I am... not much changed to be honest.  I like how my call history tells me where they are calling from, that is handy for my business.  Don't really dig the landscape keyboard; I find one fingering it with the portrait keyboard gets the job done.  Safari is a lot faster!  Haven't tried voice memos, mms or copy and paste just yet.  I probably should have waited for the 3Gs considering how much faster the processor is though!

I just got a new phone when I re-upped my contract. It's just a Pantech matrix, but it was only $29.99 after the rebate and I can't bring myself to spend more than $50.00 on a cell phone. I only use it as a phone, for texting, and the camera, so I don't really need anything fancy. It's pretty cool because it slides one way for the qwerty keypad, and the other way for the number pad. I don't have use for an iphone or any touch screen phone at this point so I'm pretty happy with it.
