Reservations for June 2010 can be made in July 2009.
I think we are going back regardless if you guys come, unless you guys get a major wild hair to come to Oregon. Last day of school for Carrie is Monday June 21st. Yeah dont see that happening. So I think we may be heading over on Saturday June 19th and stay until Friday June 25th.

Strange, how late into September do you guys start school in Oregon? We had a different calendar this year where school let out a few days later but we were still finished on June 10th.

Its a weird deal that seems to have shook out in the past years since I was in school. Carrie goes to school in the district next to the one I went to, so its not a regional issue. Back in my time, we started school sometimes as early as August 31st...a week before Labor Day, but we were out by June 10th or so. But now it seems they start school after Labor Day now, which pushes them back this late. This is even without snow/weather "make-up" days that often gets tacked on the end of the year.

As of now i would have to say i wont go, but who knows how ill feel in a year. If i do end up going back, i would only stay at ID for 3 days and move on to something else so i dont get burnt out again. I think our time frame in UT was perfect

I would certainly like to go again, but agree that 4-5 days at Idaho isn't necessary.
Based on Desert Oasis and how empty they were, I think we could've just asked for a campsite when we showed up and been fine. Then again, I seem to recall their calendar being booked when we made our reservations. I wonder if a lot of a people said fuck it when they saw the weather forecast.

I think alot of people bagged it when the economy tanked....You could make your reservations anytime in 2008, but they wanted money in January 2009 (to help with the bookkeeping). So Im thinking when they came asking for money people folded like a cheap lawnchair...
But I think you are right about getting a spot in the "new" RV side....Saturday or Sunday night may be full in the old RV side (with sewer), but Im almost certain you could get a couple spots in the new side at any point.

I think we may be stuck between a rock and a hard place with timing for next year. Carrie's school schedule has her last day as Monday the 21st...yeah right...and there is a race typically the last weekend of June...We might be with you guys and spend a little less time. We'd likely arrive Saturday and stay until Thursday morning.

I think I would still like to go to Idaho again next year. Thinking back, yes it sucked, but being with friends was fun and being away from work is always a plus. Im still debating though if going to Idaho is what I want to do, or do something different non-quad related. I dont think i would be happy without doing something quad related though.

I've always been up for going back, just for not as long. Figuring out some other things to do would be cool. If we had good weather and showed up on a Sunday, I'd be fine leaving on Wednesday...maybe Thursday but probably not.
