Epic riding for sure.  U guys missed a great trip.  The weather has been phenominal!  Was a very slightly busy on Sunday with the 4th, but Monday it was pretty cleared out.  It blew pfarily hard Monday afternoon so the sand was/has been like glass.  Have been riding our asses off.  Today was our last day of riding.  We are headed to Yellowstone tomorrow.  Then start heading home Friday.

Jeff and megan have a GoPro and a FlipM. I have a Flip now too, so we have tons of video!  Will post more when we get home.

Not gloating but it was awesome trip- wish u guys could have made it!

Wow, the footage from the banshee mounted camera is great! i like that better then helmet cam footage, i think it gives a lot better perspective. Really shows how smooth the sand was for you guys too

Any mechanical problems?

Every now and then ill check the weather out there and other places when im bored, it wasnt that great at all in June again, but so far this month it has been unbelievably nice. I think if i was to plan another trip there i'd aim for early-mid july. I'll take a dry 90 over a wet 70 any day of the week

Jeff mounted the GoPro on his Banshee right on top of the rad shroud.  The other video riding, I just held the Flip in my hand and rode.

Megan has about 17 minutes of video put together that she is refining now.  She should have it done on Saturday- I dont know how big it will be, but we might try to get it shared online somewhere.

One major failure a little both of unexpected and expected.  Motor was getting tired, so Mike knew it may be a matter of time.  It locked up just down in the bowl in between Choke and Dead Horse.  He pulled up to the top of Choke and the rad was bubbling like crazy from it being hot, so I dont know if that did it in or not.  He got it apart last week and its bad- big end rod bearing went- took the cases out(cracked), cylinder and piston are junk too.  Frame is cracked big time- too much racing.  So Mike is essentially looking for a whole new bike to build from.  He had a Zuki he could ride for the rest of the weekend.  Other than that just some minor tuning by most of us.

What bike does he ride? That does sound pretty catastrophic

Was it crowded being there on a holiday weekend?

TRX450R

It was a little busy- no where near Oregon Holiday weekend busy.  I think at most there were 10-12 people at Thunder or Choke sitting around.  Cruising the dunes never did I need to take action to either avoid crossing paths or immediate action to avoid a crash...
