We didnt get too many pics, but had great fishing. The weather was a whole other story though, when we left the dock at 6am water was quite calm, but by the time we got setup there were some waves starting up. We were pulling walleye in on a regular basis, with very few trash fish like Drum or Perch, first time ive ever had that. We werent catching fish as big as last years, but there were better eating fish. By 10am the storms started rolling in and it rained like all hell, and the lightning was getting pretty rediculous. We stayed put to ride out the storm. It passed and the skies were unbelievable looking, wish i would have brought my camera, but it would have gotten soaked anyways. We limited out by 11am, 48 fish. The wind picked up big time once the storm passed, we had some pretty heavy wave action on way in, was awesome. Even took one 7 foot wave over the bow, got pretty hairy. Ride in was as fun as the fishing for me. I was completely soaked though, along with everyone else

Thats me and the captain trying to get a walleye out of the net, could barely see it was raining so hard

Did the storms remind you of being out west?    Did you start breathing heavy and almost faint?  "No, I don't want to be back!"

What time do you guys normally finish up by?  Didn't you miss the old, grizzled captain that you normally have?

We did have the same captain Danny, he's the best part. And OF COURSE there had to be a bad storm. We usually dont finish till 3pm, being done before 11am was a record for me.

Was strange, we couldnt see the storm coming. It was just grey all around us, but then you could hear the thunder coming from the west and see all the lightning. It didnt get all black until after it passed over us, very odd

Bruce had full rain gear on, unlike the rest of us

Thats very Bruce....he plans accordingly. Im sure you have heard the story of when we were all younger, Bruce kept telling all of us it was going to rain and got out his umbrella and rain gear, we didnt listen (including Rick and my dad). The rain clouds opened and poured on all of us, and Bruce sat there umbrella in hand and stayed dry. We have a pic of it too I think. haha

Haha, I think I remember hearing that.

Ben, you should have asked to borrow my Matrix Neo raincoat!  Wouldn't have let a drop get on you.  I thought from something you said in another thread that you had a different captain.  Did he ever find a first mate?  The open waters await you..
