I kind of wanted to check out a Droid 2 as well, but ended up with the Incredible.  I'm actually pretty used to the touch kb now, the only thing I can't do is text by feel in my truck (I do keep my eyes on the road!!!).  I found a feature that basically makes this point moot though, I just hit the mic button, and dictate to the phone what I want to say, and if you pronounce your words well, it gets it correct 90% of the time.  I love it.

I had my Droid 1 since Christmas and it was perfect all the time, only thing i hated was that it would Mute on phone calls.... So i put a piece of tape and blacked out the sensor on the screen, and hold the phone farther from my face now, took some getting used to. This past weekend the bottom on top that is my power button, and my screen lock button, stuck and i couldnt get my screen to light up or turn off without opening my keyboard. I went to Verizon and they (at the time) were completely out of new and refurb Droid 1's so they upgraded me to a Droid 2 under warranty.
So far I love all the improvements on the Droid 2. Very nice! The best part is the keyboard, they raised the buttons so you can feel it now. Its got the 2.2 upgrade already in it. My old Droid didnt upgrade to 2.2 until last week either... I very much love the new 2. very happy with it so far, after getting all my rings and contacts situated again.

I was just emailing back and forth with Danny about this.  Long story short... ATT sucks cock and my Iphone 3g sucks cock ever since I upgraded to ios4 (it is soooooooo slowwwww).

My ATT contract is up in April.  Iphone is "suppose" to come to ATT in January.

I dunno whether to abandon the Iphone and go to the Droid 2 on Verizon or get the Iphone 4 which rocks but be stuck with ATT  Vomit

Oops, Iphone on Verizon in January.

Funny thing is I liked my 3g before I upgraded to ios4, it was fine.  I mean I hated ATT but liked the iphone enough to deal with it.  But now that my 3g is basically a useless paperweight it is having me think about jumping ship.

And I had the iphone 4 for a couple weeks and although the phone was the best I ever used, the $300 was not worth dealing with the crappy ATT service and a 2 year extension on my plan.

Ended up rolling back my 3g to the old OS.  Much better!  But I still hate ATT with a passion... talking to my mom from my living room the other day and dropped the call 3 times! and that is with it on Edge because god forbid I let it automatically switch back and forth from 2g to 3g.

Anywho, I am ----><---- close to switching to Verizon but I don't know what phone.  Droid 2, X, or wait for the Iphone or Evo?  I want to wait for the Iphone but I have a feeling it won't be until mid 2011 now and I can't have ATT for another year.

I'm really enjoying my Incredible as well.  I get a days use of out the battery no problem (as long as there is good signal, low or no signal kills any cell battery), and the huge variety of apps is pretty awesome.  I use mine at the gym to listen to Sirius via 3g, mp3's, movies, or I can even work on our terminal server at work via WYSE.  Can't beat getting paid to work out

It's too bad Verizon pours so much money into anti gun and anti anything off road groups.  I do like the Verizon Brigade.

Go to Settings, then "Call"

Then select "Voicemail service"

Then select "My carrier" instead of google voice.
