The Vikings signed free agent cornerback Fred Smoot to a six-year deal worth about $30 million, including a signing bonus of about $10 million on Monday. Smoot will start at right cornerback opposite left cornerback Antoine Winfield, the team's prized free-agent signing a year ago.

Looks like the Vikes are trying to beef up on defense...about time too.  Now if they can get a coordinator that knows his head from his ass....oh, and sign Donovin Darius!  They also signed nose tackle Pat Williams from Buffalo.  I think if they could get Darius they'd be a hell of alot better on Defense next year....a linebacker that knows what he's doing (Harris) 2 very good corners in Smoot and Winfield, and a helluva safety in Darius....sounds good to me, the hell with Randy Moss.

They better draft Mike Williams or Braylon or theyll regret getting rid of randy.  Their D will be much improved but theyll sorely miss randy.

Im all for Donovan darius taking shots at the Packers receivers twice a year.

talk is they're looking at trading for Rod Gardner.  He's no Randy Moss but he's OK.

He was okay last year, and the redskins were horrible, especially at the QB position.

Dolphins are bad at QB and so is Arizona til they signed Warner.  Vikes brought back Wiggins with the "people's elbow".  Awesome.

I think I'd take AJ over any of the bums Chicago played last year after Rex got hurt and Arizona had a McNown, lmfao.   Jermaine is a man, I look forward to more entertaining touchdown celebrations next year.

Kurt Warner is a no talent ass clown..Fiedler is a better QB than him..I dunno why your saying Dolphins are weak at QB....Sure hes no Marino but I think he has potential...Warner is washed up.

Fiedler gets hurt every game.  If he had any chance of being decent  they wouldnt have given the eagles 3rd string QB (AJ Feeley) 7 million dollar a year deal.

Warner did excellent for the giants last year and they had no offensive line and the rest of their team was horrible with the exception of tiki barber.

Warner has the 2nd highest all time passing percentage, highest of all active QBs.   Hes a 2 time MVP, and a superbowl winner.  I believe his career record is 42-19.  Hes a veteran that knows how to win.  He is exactly what Arizona needs.

Kurt Warner is definitely an upgrade from what the Cards had last year.  It should be interesting to see what kind of a running game they have, though without Emmitt Smith.

Vikings defense continues to improve...they signed Darren Sharper today to play Safety.  Joey Harrington is already crying....

and on another note, quoted from ESPN.com
Quote
Minnesota officials might now turn their attention, however, to offense. The club has made a contract offer to unrestricted free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress, and the former Pittsburgh Steelers star is seriously considering the proposal. A deal could come over the weekend.

I'm already looking forward to watching the Vikings next season, right after the Twins win the World Series.
