It got a lot of work this spring, but it was worth it. Each wheel took about 3 hours to do, started with a grinder/flapwheel, then 120 grit compund, then 600, then the final polish. Had to drive up into MI to get the doors and tailgate, they were from TX and completely rust free. Had the body shop we use at work put them on and do the paint. The body shop recommended leaving the side moldings off, i wasnt so sure about it until i saw it with them off, looked so much better. Got the rear bumper from Amazon of all places, unbelievably good deal. The worst part is what a rip off the emblems and graphics are. The 4x4's were $40 a piece, the 1500's were $35 a piece, and to replace the big silver chevrolet emblem that was on my original tailgate, $350! A brand new GM tailgate is only $225! So obviously im not doing that, going to get the big chevrolet decal instead, is only $40. I got a set of HID's for it too, going to put them on today.

And im proud to say that on the same tank of gas that it hit 250,000 miles, it got 18.5 MPG, best one of the trip. Most were 17.5.    I took off the Hypertech Programmer this spring and it was like a new truck, power much better and increased mileage 4mpg. That piece of shit was killing my truck for YEARS
