Were there trails to take to go up into the Tetons? Or marked ones to climb them? I wonder if you would need actual rock climbing gear and skills to go up them

Was there a hotel at that marina?

yea there were trails everywhere, but to go up into the tetons would be a fairly serious climb.  Grand Teton (the tallest mountain) is 13,800 feet, the valley floors were probably 6-7000 feet below that.  Between 2 of them was a huge glacier, you can see it clear as day from the southern part of the park.

The marina had little cabins that we rented.

Grand Teton proper requires technical rock climbing to summit.  Middle Teton and Buck Mtn have routes that can be scrambled.

a few more wildlife shots.  Nothing spectacular, just some stuff we saw out there.

1. 2 bison
2. awesome 12 point elk we saw at our campgrounds in Grant Village
3. this dude stormed another bison, peed all over the ground, stole his spot, and then laid in it
4.  bison all over.  We were stuck in Hayden Valley for almost 2 hours
5. some more bucks we saw near yellowstone lake
6. fattest chipmunk I've ever seen at the beartooth overlook

1.  Grizzly mama and 3 cubs.  They were a long ways off but still cool to see.
2. Grizz at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery in West Yellowstone.  I guess they take in trouble bears that have gotten into garbage or people food and have become nuisances.  For $2 they let the kids go out into the area, hide their food under rocks and logs, then they let them watch as the bears come out and find their food.
3. female bear at the center
4. a Moose right outside our room in Big Sky, MT
5. mule buck
6. grey wolf at the discovery center.  It was pretty cool listening to them howl right before dusk.

Ben--- The white water trip was cool.. But the paragliding was even better... It felt amazing to be up so high. The hike killed me though. 1000ft to the top and my lungs and throat killed me. I am totally out of shape for a hike like that :( But after the paragliding/hike I felt liberated LOL
