Anyone else sporting a kindle? I bought one back in July and love the damn thing. Since then, my mom has one, Emmy, Josh, and soon Jason will as well. It's funny cause a lot of people at first are like 'no way, I don't want one, I prefer books' but then they see it and slowly turn over time. Emmy was diehard against one but lovers her now.
The convenience of it is so nice, and much nicer to hold than a book (this sounds like a infomercial where they make the simplest things sound hard but its true in thise case). I love being able to buy a book wherever I am too. They're supposed to have book-sharing by the end of the year too. It'll be extremely limited, but at least it is a start.

Ive debated back and forth on it for a long time, but i again love having a book in my hands and I use them on my bookcase like a piece of furniture. I dont know, but it does seem really nice to be able to just tote it around where-ever instead of a thick book.

I have thought about getting one, but haven't done it yet. There was a deal I saw recently on a 7" Android reader for only $100. I thought about that, but didn't jump on it yet. I think I would really like a reader as I don't really like holding a book.

I'm with you there, holding books sucks, especially the small paperback kind.
I wouldn't recommend getting a LCD reader, especially some cheap android one. The nice thing is the kindle uses e-ink, so its like reading paper, doesn't strain your eyes, and you get a great battery life.

I was gonna ask about the eye straining over a long period of time. I can sit and waste a whole day if Im reading a good book, do your eyes get tired is something I wondered.

I was thinking the same thing about eye strain and then I looked at one at best buy and it was just like reading a paper page- did not strain my eyes at all. It's also so sleek and thin! I like having books on my shelves and in my hands too, but eventually space runs out, and this thing is really cool. The only argument I have is that batteries don't die in a book and I can easily spend a day reading. I wouldn't mind getting one as a gift but I don't think I'm going to run out and buy one just yet.

Well with the new kindle, you can get up to a month of battery life with the wireless turned off so its not that big an issue. Shouldn't this be under Techie crap I like mine a lot, I just wish I had more time to use it... still on my first book(hope danny don't read this)!! I thought of putting it in techie...but the Kindle bridges that gap! First book? No surprise there since you only read business books.
