The woman wanted one, so we rolled to the apple store and checked them out.... I asked the moronic sales person if flash would ever be supported (since 90% of websites use it for animations and video etc) and the dipshits response was that Apple would never do it blah blah blah...

The idiot then proceeded to talk me into why HTML 10 was better than flash

I don't care whats better, I want support for what all of the web developers use, since it is their support that drives it all

The android tablets look more appealing anyway, but price dictates everything and they aren't cheap. So in my opinion the best solution is still a netbook

 - Real keyboard
 - USB ports to charge and interface with tons of different devices
 - endless customization options (ubuntu wxp, w7 etc)
 - Second monitor support

My EEE is getting old but none of the new devices really do anything more

toss an SSD in your netbook and it will roll stout.  Mine has an old 32gb SSD that benches half decent, and 2gb of ram, and it is fine.

AMD is launching some new low power cpu's that smash the Atom, I might upgrade once they make it into some decent devices.

I recently acquired a 3G kindle and so far, I like it a lot.  I haven't used it much yet, but I already love the fact that I am not holding a book.  And it is so easy to read; the lettering and what not is very clear.  I think I will love having one and the fact that I can go right to amazon from the device to get more books is awesome.
