Yeah these are older pics... The 'electrical' department (me) took over the upstairs of the shop so I have my own little workshop up there now

That's awesome, When you get the pipe cut down, what will the overall width of the adapter be?

there better be some youtube videos of this thing when it is all done. What did you end up doing to the engine, thought I remembered a thread a while back or something.

I'm not sure on the overall length yet, I don't have a 4x4 4L60E laying around to check how much the output shaft sticks out past the transfer case adapter
I've got a front mount turbo for it but haven't installed it yet, going to get the 6sp in there and the 05+ e-fans and work the bugs out of that first.

1 piece countershaft assembly The machining is nuts...crazy how they cut this out of 1 piece of steel. 5th, 6th and reverse ride on the back side (shiney portion)

Had a NV4500 with a chipped tooth on the countershaft, was one piece like that, had to replace the whole thing. Was an impressive hunk of steel

The 4500's countershafts are quite impressive, I agree. The 4500's have that huge backcut gear that is like 6 inches long where E's 56 has it all smooth and shiny with a few splines. I've got one on the bench at home, near mint, has all parts, just needs assembly. Just tack the teeth back onto the 3rd counter gear and it would be good to go!

Yeah no kidding
If I had a local machine shop quote doing a countershaft it would be over 2K
I bought that one for $500
