Its time for the YFZ to be reborn... I dont want another ATV, if I get anything it will be a Commander or RZR. So, Im going to throw some money into the YFZed to make her better. Cosmetic-wise I am going to tear it down to the frame this winter (after the SL trip) and get rid of the Orange color. Im thinking black frame, pink accents on a-arms and hubs. Keep the Black front plastics and get maybe white rear, then HMF blue/pink graphics. I want some pink in it....but not too much, not overkill. Ive already talked with Derisi Racing about re-valving my stock shocks..Is this good enough or do I need to invest in Elkas? What about A-Arms? Im going to get a steering stem, stabilizer, bars and some other easy bolt on accessories.

if you're going to keep XC racing it, do not get wide a arms, the stockers will work fine. Same with the axle. Otherwise, absolutely, go wider. I'd let Santo rebuild your shocks over Elka's any day. Any engine work?

no more racing. Its not me, and I dont want to go out there and pretend and basically trash my stuff. Dunes and some woods riding, but this will definitely be more of a Duner bike
Wider A-Arms can keep stock length shocks? How much wider on an axle, brand?

I have a GForce axle from Rocky Mountain in both my Banshee and YFZ. Haven't had a lick of a problem with either, I suppose if you jump 100 feet in the air you might notice the difference, but I never have. It's +4 inches Wider a arms can keep the stock length shocks, you just have to make sure you order them for stock length and not the long travels.

I have a RPM Dominator +4 on mine. I bent a Lonestar off a small jump and they wouldnt warranty it. I have that same Alba +2 a-arm kit that Danny has on his Z, I like the arms but the bushing setup is KMart special. I wouldnt mind getting some JD's or Houser arms on it yet. LOVE my Elkas.... they are setup perfect for me. For around $450 you can get a set of Dune Edition Elkas which is what mine are. I have Galfer brake lines on my 450 but when I went to put them on my RR, worst set of lines ever. Went with Goodrich on the bike.. very nice lines. Think about the steering stem too, if being +1/2 higher and forward +1 or something. I know my back was crying for my +2 stem when I was riding it the other day. Makes standing way easier:)

I just checked, and the G-Force axles are still $199 at RM, great deal. They are warrantied for life against breakage or bending. You'll want the wrench kit too if you get one for tightening the nut (it's way bigger than stock)

Well, no, Purple is still better, but I've developed a better understanding for Pink- especially when paired with black and roller skates.
