Wow, I'm unsure on this.  I figured Jer would have something to say since it's his team.  Four is honestly a little much.  Statwise, maybe you put a couple of them on there... maybe.  The Wallace guys are both talented but big Ben hasn't been that good and Wallace's numbers are down too.  To put a PF that averages 15 pts and 6 rbs in the all-star game just isn't right.

That all being said, their clearly the best TEAM, don't get me wrong, but in the All-Star game you honor individual play.  Billups/Hamilton go in my book, the others stay behind.

And no Carmelo in the west?  WTF?  That's a joke.  Asian Rik Smits is the leader in votes?  Sigh....

Just a few observations...

Well, they all deserve it, and its about time Chauncy and Rip made it.  Big ben definitely deserves it.  Hes the hardest working player in the game, hands down.  It might not be scoring, but its everything else he does.

As for rasheed, whos a better PF in the east?  He might not have the highest scoring average, but hes on the best team in the league and still gets "his".  Unlike some other guys on crappy teams where they have to score more just to have a chance to win.

I think the fact that being on the best team helps the fact.

As for Caremelo, it just happens that hes in the west, and there are better players that play his position.

Hell, mehmet okur for the jazz is playing awesome this year, check his stats.

As for me, im going to the pistons game tonight against the nets, the girlfriend got some tickets for a suite.   Gives thy a finger

Hell yeah they're all great players, but how do you recognize that?  By stats only 2 of them probably deserve it.  Still, I have no probs with them making it though.  Individually I actually thing they're all ok, and none of them are legit every year all-stars.  Together they're fabulous though.  Rasheed Wallace is probably the best talent of them all...

Just watch ben wallace during a game.  Youll see that just looking at his stats on a piece of paper say nothing about his performance.  I think this is his 3rd or 4th year as an all star.

I agree, Rasheed is the best talent on the team, and my favorite player.  He just doesnt have the mentality, or want to have the mentality to play like the be all, end all.  Thats what portland wanted from him.  Hes a much better fit here.  Plus, i cant think of any other big man that can shoot the 3 ball like he does.

Same with Lamar Odom Jer.  Odom is a top 10 TALENT in the league.  Guy is simply amazing but he doesn't have the aggresiveness or mental approach.  There are games where he's just simply the best player on the court, including Kobe... but far too often he's sheepish and sits back.

Nah man, I love Big Ben... he plays with heart and brings a TON of things to the table.  I think that 4 guys on a team is a bit high... though they're all pretty damn good players...

I'm still pissed about that fuckbucket Pau Gasol getting in over my boy Melo.

Gasol is annoying.  Although, hes only averaging 19 points to melos 25, but hes averaging 2 more assists per game and 4 more rebounds.

Great game tonight against NJ.  The responded well, and played like their usual selves after a tough loss to Dwayne Wade.  The shut down carter and kidd, and NJ scored 2 more then their season low.

You are also forgetting that all star team is selected by the fans and the piston players probably have the biggest following in basketball.

Im pretty sure the fans select the all star starters, and coaches and players select the reserves, which the pistons are.
