For anyone interested, me and heather and the rest of our group are planning a trip in april to Silver Lake. We're shooting for opening weekend the first weekend in April but if there's snow we postpone till the next weekend. We will be getting there friday night and leaving sunday morning.
Most of the places in the immediate area are still closed until memorial weekend but it's quite interesting to be up there then since it's so quiet and uncrowded. Nice change of pace if you've ever been there on a holiday weekend. If the weather turns out to be nice it's surprising how many people do show up on saturday.
I'm aware this should be in riding trips section, but i wanted it to be in public area for now

you guys are too ambitious for me.  Duning is supposed to be somewhat warm weather time, May usually is sweatshirt and light jacket weather, April...hmm no thanks :)

The weather here in michigan is too hit and miss in april.  Last year i was at a car race about 30 min from the dunes.  Friday it was great, about 65.  Saturday it was about 30 and snowing.    :smt010

well last April it was the worst weather ever! high winds and cold as all get out. There was ice on Test Hill and it sucked. But it was fun anyways. We are only 6ish hours away and we always have a warm place to go to so it isnt bad at all.

May is still on. We went in april last year and yes, it's not warm but it's better than being home. It's not warm on halloween either but we still go and last year it was a good time with good weather. I wouldn't expect you guys to go, but would be cool. It is a lot easier for us.
