I hate how the majority of new releases are now in 2.35:1. You lose somewhere around 25% of the viewing area to those stupid black bars. Didn't the majority of us buy widescreen tvs to get around this bs? I know 2.35:1 has been around for a little while, but it still sucks!! :smt097
If you could buy a 2.35:1 tv, then I could understand, but nooooo. Damn movie industry is pissed that more and and more people are setting up home theaters and don't need to go to their shitty ones anymore.
I am loving the quick turnaround from film->dvd now. Kong only took a little over three months!

the movie industry is all butt hurt about 'pirates' stealing their movies, when the fact is if they would produce something other than absolute junk 90% of the time, people would want to go see them!
Then you go to the theater to see a movie, and they ass rape you for 15 bucks, 5 bucks for a coke, and 4.50 for a box of popcorn. No wonder they're hurting. Hollywood sucks, I hate the whole vibe there, including the fag Lakers (but thats another discussion)

Yeah, just like the music industry. Piracy is the cause of everything!!! (even terrorism!).
Jason, Cathy and I went to see the last star wars last year. It was at a good theater, except for the jackasses next to us. They clapped during the movie...CLAPPED!!![/i] They actually even clapped at some commercial for the cavaliers. Ugh, I swore never to go to that theather again. I have since, but still, blecht! :smt078

Minimum 90% of it is just garbage, and the theaters put an assraping on for any type of food product. Ridiculous.

Comon now. Girls, we have this down pat. Bring a huge purse, but not too big that its suspicious, and put in some drinks and food.

When my sister and her boyfriend went to see the harry potter movie back in November, I almost caused a problem. We went to a walgreens beforehand to stock up on drinks and snacks. We're trying to think what we can sneak in when I, in a perfectly clear (and loud, of course) voice, say "hey guys, i can fit tons of stuff in my coat. they'd never see it!" completely oblivious of the environment I was in. i don't think anyone was around to hear but still pretty funny (and stupid) :smt005
go carhartt! i snuck in like a 32oz bottle of water and arizona iced tea, skittles bags and all other kinds of goodies.

This only works in the winter when you wear a big coat, but Jason and I popped popcorn and put it in a bag, then i stuffed it in my coat. Then I did the big purse thing. It looked like I was pregnant, but nobody's gonna harass a pregnant woman, and If they do, I'll be like, dude, I think I'm gonna hurl, and run away. The perfect ruse.
