the Twins signed Morneau and Cuddy to longer term deals today.  Morneau for 6 years, 80 million, and Cuddy for 3 years, 23 million.  It's nice to know they'll both be around for the opening of the new stadium.

.271 isn't bad for a power hitter, plus he was the league MVP in 2006?  $13 mil a year is nothing for a good power hitter these days

Tigers got cabrera signed for 11 mil a year.  Sounds like the twins need a better front office.

if he starts pitching like he used to, I agree.  Last year wasn't so good for him.

I like these moves.  Both guys are good players and they deserved some kind of commitment.  Hopefully, this convinces Santana to take the offer on the table from the Twins and see what happens.  He is probably still going to get traded, but these extensions have to mean something, don't they?

Thats some good progress.  I bet the twins wish liriano was showing that much progress.

you're not kidding.  He needs to build up his arm, instead of a 97-99 mph fastball he was 91-93, and his slider had no bite.  Not to mention he walked everybody and their brother too.  Obviously someone who is rusty and needs some time/work.
