Dad gave me this laptop, cant even get into it.     It has the control/Alt?delete password thing on startup, so I enter the password and then it says its expired and it needs to be changed.  I got to change it and it says I dont have permission to change it.   These are the kinds of things that make me want dump gas on computers and light a match:)  I tried using a "guest" login but it says that the account has been disabled....   yea, any thaughts?  Thanks guys.

its setup to log into a domain, being your house isn't at your dads office, you can't get to the domain.  Bring it over when you come to get your 450 and I'll give it a go.

I pulled the hard drive out last night, my dads going to see if he can get one from work.  Would it be better If I used that disk you  have for xp?

yea, your dell one won't work anyways.  That HD was spent, I think thats what the smell was anyways, burnt electronics.
