despite what alot of people say, 5.56mm definitely gets the job done.  Dropped him like a sack of potatoes.  I've seen what this round can do from this gun, and it isn't pretty.  I shot a pop can full of water at about 75 yards, and it exploded, just left little peices of pop can scrapnel all over.
